We use HL7 health code when it comes to identifying a person sex. Besides the standard Male and Female, we also support..
  • Unknown the user choose not to disclose their sex identity in the SmartMED system.
  • Other the user choose that non of the other option best described their sex identity.
  • Ambiguous the user is intersexed and falls into more than one cateogory.

We follow Best Practices to maintain security and safety with user data.

  • All private data exchanged with SmartMED is always transmitted over SSL (which is why your dashboard is served over HTTPS, for instance)
  • We protect your login from brute force attacks with rate limiting. Passwords are one-way encrypted in the database using bcrypt..
  • All passwords are filtered from all our logs, and Login information is always sent over SSL

SmartMED Mobile App

The navigation menu allows you to get to any part of the application. Simply slide your finger from the left side of the screen to pull the navigation menu into view. Then select the screen you wish to go to.

Fill in the fields with the appropriate information. All this information should be easily found on the medications packaging.

Create your medication schedule here. If it is not scheduled, press the schedule button to switch to as needed.

Fill in the fields where appropriate. This is to maintain an accurate record of your prescription.

The Medication List page gives you a clear overview of your current medications, how much inventory is left, and the type of medication it is. Click on any medication to gather more information about that entry.

Stored medications within the application may be reviewed. If you see any errors or updates to be made just press the EDIT button in the top right hand corner and save any changes that are made.

When a medication alert occurs, it will show up in your notification drawer. To access the notification, simply pull down from the top and click on the SmartMED notification.

As needed medications, are only taken on an as required basis. Example such as aspirin for headaches. Report when taking to keep a log of when it was needed.

The history section allows you to view each instance of recorded adherence to see just how late or early you had reported taking your medications.
